Anthurium sp. 'Verdesino' Wild Ecotype (EXACT PLANT)

Anthurium sp. ‘Verdesino’ Wild Ecotype is a distinctive aroid with an elegant, refined silhouette, native to the San Martín region in the Peruvian Amazon. This ecotype is characterized by its narrow, elongated foliage, with a deeply lanceolate to elongate-sagittate blade and a strongly acuminate apex that extends into a fine, delicate tip. The base is softly cordate, with rounded and only slightly expanded posterior lobes, giving the leaf a graceful and highly characteristic appearance within the genus.

The adaxial surface displays a smooth to slightly coriaceous texture, with a satin-like finish and a rich, uniform green coloration. The midrib is clearly prominent, running straight through the blade with strong definition, while the secondary veins emerge subtly, providing structure without disrupting the clean and streamlined appearance of the lamina. On the abaxial surface, the blade is noticeably paler, where the venation becomes more delicately visible.

One of its most striking features is the proportion between length and width: the leaf is significantly longer than it is broad, suggesting adaptation to the humid, shaded conditions of the Amazon rainforest, where foliage often develops in more streamlined forms to capture filtered light and shed excess moisture efficiently. This morphology, combined with its narrow basal sinus and elegant posterior lobes, gives the plant a highly ornamental character.

As a wild ecotype, this form represents a natural expression of its Amazonian habitat in San Martín, preserving phenotypic traits associated with its native population. Its restrained elegance, elongated shape, and balanced symmetry make it especially desirable for collectors of botanical Anthuriums and rare Peruvian ecotypes.
