Anthurium sp. ‘White Bull’ wild ecotype is a distinctive undescribed form from the San Martín region of Peru, where it grows in the mountains surrounding Toroyacu Falls, in a humid microhabitat shaped by mist, dense vegetation, and constant moisture. This natural environment is reflected in its refined foliage and balanced leaf structure, setting it apart from heavier, more deeply textured Amazonian forms.
This ecotype is characterized by broadly cordate leaves with a narrow, elegant drip tip, shallow but well-defined posterior lobes, and a smooth overall outline that gives the blade a balanced, almost sculptural appearance. The lamina is light to medium green and has a softly matte to faintly velvety finish, depending on leaf maturity and growing conditions.
One of its most notable features is the pronounced bullation: the surface is gently quilted, with the primary lateral veins creating a series of soft, regular undulations across the blade. This gives the foliage a subtly corrugated texture without becoming harsh or deeply rugose. The midrib is clearly expressed, while the secondary venation remains more subdued, contributing to the plant’s clean and harmonious look.
The sinus is narrow and neatly closed to slightly open, forming rounded upper lobes that reinforce the leaf’s compact heart-shaped silhouette. In juvenile growth, the plant already shows strong character, with well-proportioned blades and attractive texture even at a small size. The petioles appear slender and supportive, allowing the leaf to present itself upright and elegantly.
As a wild ecotype from San Martín, Anthurium sp. ‘White Bull’ carries the understated beauty typical of many Peruvian aroids: not overly dramatic in contrast, but highly appealing in structure, texture, and natural form. Its soft green coloration, gentle bullation, and symmetrical cordate blade make it a very attractive collector’s plant, especially for growers who appreciate subtle, refined foliage over extreme ornamentation.

Anthurium Garskinii Croat with 2 Leaves (EXACT PLANT)
Officially named and described in 2010 by renowned American botanist Thomas Bernard Croat, a world specialist in aroids, this endemic gem from the cloud forests of Colombia (between 285 and 1250 m in altitude) bears his hallmark of botanical distinction. It is not just a plant; it is a collector's piece with a scientific pedigree.
Its morphology is pure natural sculpture: sagittate-cordate leaves, evoking arrowheads or elongated hearts, with rounded basal lobes that sometimes overlap and a sharp, acuminate apex. With a coriaceous texture and unmatched rigidity, the upper surface displays an intense, dark green with a high waxy sheen, making the foliage appear perpetually fresh, while the underside reveals a much paler or yellowish tone, creating a fascinating bicolor contrast. The thick, cylindrical petiole inserts centrally at the base, supporting this botanical wonder.
